​For nine years, I built a top-producing real estate business in Seattle almost entirely through referrals. The greatest compliment I ever received wasn't the awards or a sales rankings — it was when clients trusted me enough to send their friends and family my way. More than anything, I wanted to be the kind of agent people knew would show up for them, no matter what. One client described me as "ride or die," and that's a compliment I'll always treasure.

Throughout my career, I had the privilege of working almost exclusively with queer, trans, non-binary, and TGX clients. As I learned how to better serve my community, I shared those best practices with fellow agents, title companies, escrow professionals, and mortgage lenders throughout the Seattle area. I believe every client deserves to feel respected, understood, and supported throughout the home buying or selling process.

When my wife and I moved from Seattle to NW Arkansas to be closer to family and embrace a slower pace of life, I quickly realized something I had long suspected: finding a values-aligned real estate agent isn't easy everywhere. Through my varied personal and professional networks, I am able to locate exceptional values-aligned agents anywhere in the United States; Even when they don't publicly market themselves as LGBTQIA+ or explicitly advertise the inclusive way they do business for fear of being outed and targeted.

That's why I founded Common Ground Referrals.

Our mission is simple: connect queer folks and allies with carefully vetted real estate professionals who lead with compassion, professionalism, and respect—wherever they live in the United States.

This service is completely free for clients. When a referral results in a successful closing, the receiving agent pays a referral fee to Common Ground Referrals as a thank you for the introduction. A portion of those referral earnings is donated to nonprofit organizations supporting marginalized communities because giving back has always been part of how I do business.

For me, real estate has never been just about buying or selling homes. It's about helping people find someone they can trust during one of life's biggest transitions, and especially in a time when it matters more than ever.
